Beautiful canvas representing a view of Notre Dame de la Garde in Marseille. the canvas is in excellent condition and signed André Verdilhan, born in 1881 in Marseille and died in 1963. Referenced as a painter of portraits, landscapes, seascapes, flowers, sculptor. Brother of Mathieu Verdilhan, he started at the Salon des Indépendants in 1910. His firm design, its solidly structured volumes, are reflected in his work as a sculptor. In painting his works are strongly influenced by those of his brother.
