Reliquary From The 16th Century, Finely Worked.

This reliquary is probably from Tuscany worked on the first half of the century by workers active in a goldsmith's workshop. The cylindrical in shape, it is characterized by a multi-lobed gilt copper foot finely engraved with instruments of the passion of Christ between medallions, a lower beaded band. Series of scissors with plant patterns and lines. The onion has engraved plant motifs.
The showcase's upper containment structure is gilded bronze and is of the finest goldsmith quality. It is made up of 6 fluted Ionic columns resting on frames with railing patterns and ending in the upper and lower part with winged putti of lenticular quality, the upper ones ending in pinnacles.
Unfortunately, the specimen is missing the top cover.
The height of the object is 33 cm.
