17th century wooden sculpture with beautiful polychromy, raw back. Our Holy Apostle is magnificently draped and his long beard contributes to his solemnity. Holding what could be a purse in his right hand, this would be a representation of Saint Matthew the Evangelist. Dimensions of 74 cm high by 47 cm wide and 19 cm deep As is with its gaps, old xylophages and cracks.
