Sculpture Of An Altar Angel – 17th Century
Carved in the round, our altar server, an 18th-century candle-bearing angel, is made of polychrome and gilded wood.
The previous owner claimed it was the Archangel Jophiel, but I have found no evidence to support this.
Dimensions: 81 cm high x 30 cm wide x 18 cm deep.
Condition: Used – notably missing the wings – beautiful patina.
