Lovely Isaphan rug woven on wool & silk warps and wefts, of Iranian origin dating from the 1950s, era of the shah. Technical characteristics: Wool velvet on silk foundation. A royal blue field where floral and foliage scrolls intermingle, supports a multi-lobed ivory and sky starry medallion. The whole being framed by four cream spandrels and green sky. Main ivory border with polychrome floral interlacing flanked by two bluish gray counter borders and two other creams with garlands of flowers. Measurements: Length: 245 cm Width: 153 cm
