### **Title:** Tabriz Wool Rug, Iran, 1930s Tabriz rug of Iranian origin, made of high quality extra fine wool around 1930, at the beginning of the 20th century. This rug features a ruby-coloured field decorated with turquoise corollas and floral scrolls, surrounding a ruby-coloured counter-field with a mandorla medallion in old pink and beige. In the centre, an elegant star-shaped cruciform flower unfolds, all covered with a delicate trellis of polychrome floral stems. The blue border is decorated with flowers resting on their stems.
