"Iron Box – Southern Germany – Early 17th Century"
Very pretty box of German origin, probably ''Nuremberg'', from the beginning of the 17th century. Each corner receives over its entire height surface reinforcements with sinuous shapes.
When opened, the top reveals an interesting locksmith mechanism with four pins, decorated with heart-shaped motifs.
The wrought iron key and side handles are original.
