heavy and comfortable Persian Sarouk from Iran, measuring 132 cm x 202 cm, in very good condition.
Old carpet, presenting a very beautiful velvet with a beautiful decor, short restored fringes, edges in average condition and dating from the 1930s.
A very resistant piece, with beautiful colors, mainly ivory, apricot, almond green, blue, buff, wine and red.
The entire wine-colored field covered with flowers and arabesques supports a cruciferous medallion justiposed for the most beautiful effect, accompanied by two small pendants taking the form of a halberd or fleur-de-lis and four spandrels.
The shades are fresh and the thick, soft velvet is in perfect condition.
This rug is a beautiful decorative and comfortable piece, the decor is abundant and beautifully designed and the kork wool is of high quality.
The Sarough carpet, or Sarouk, the Ecbatana of Antiquity, is knotted in a few villages near Sarouk in the agricultural region of Arak.
