Louis XVI Period Fireplace Mirror
Louis XVI period fireplace mirror. Late 18th century. In molded and carved wood, it is decorated with a flowerbed frame with a frieze of ribbons and heart spokes. It has dice decorated with flowers at the corners. The sides and top are decorated with molding. The ice is original with a mercury tin. Formerly gilded on the moldings. Old lacquer pale green in color. The parquet flooring is original except for one of the boards (right). Mirror dimensions: 57.5 x 113 Frame dimensions: L 94 x H 140 x D 5
