Earthenware Cooler From Cerreto Sannita
Earthenware cooler from Cerreto Sannita (Naples region). Late 17th century period. Polychrome decoration in shades of green, blue and yellow. Two medallions represent dancing characters. Both sockets are in the shape of fruits and foliage. The traditional colors of the 17th and 18th centuries are yellow, green, blue and Cerreto orange. Dated 1696 and signed IRF for the potter (faenzaro). Note some chips. Dimensions: Diameter 21 x H 20 Width with sockets 26
