Fan Louis XVI "the Music Lesson"
18-strand fan in chiseled ivory with floral motifs representing an 18th century scene depicting a music and singing lesson. Under the watchful eye of their teacher, two young girls, one on the harp, the other on vocals, a courtier listening!. This medallion scene is accompanied on either side by two medallions with the attributes of music. The whole is entwined with garlands of flowers and branches tied with ribbons. The strands are joined by an axis terminated by small crimped brilliant stones.
