The handwritten text in French gives details of the location and the merchant who markets them without giving any indication of the author who remains anonymous. The neat costumes are colorful and very elaborate for the women, simpler for the men. Everything is in the fashion of the picturesque that the tourists of the Grand Tour came to look for in Italy at that time. Beautiful original condition, undated, unsigned, on slightly pitted paper. Frames from later period.
