Saxon, 19th Century — Porcelain Tea Strainer With Floral And Insect Decoration

Tea strainer in glazed porcelain, with a circular perforated bowl and a rim terminating in a suspension loop, richly decorated with small hand-painted sprays of natural flowers (Streublumen) and flying insects on a white ground. The rim and suspension loop are highlighted by a fine gilt band decorated with scrolls and garlands.
Saxon manufacture, in the manner of Meissen. Nineteenth century.
