RUSSIAN WORK, LATE 19TH – EARLY 20TH CENTURY
Oval brooch-pendant in chased yellow gold and vermeil, the center set with a translucent onyx plaque adorned with an applied sculpted gold Imperial Russian double-headed eagle. The top is surmounted by a delicately chased ribbon knot set with an oval sapphire, and the lower part retains three movable fine pearl drops.
Russian gold hallmark (56 zolotniks) and goldsmith’s mark on the reverse (HF / НФ).
