Azure-blue « Bartafan » Opaline Casket With Silver Mount, Vienna, 1849
Casket in azure blue opaline glass known as “Baccarat opaline” (or Bartafan opaline), polylobed form, the body and lid molded with fluting and ribbing, the mount in engraved and chased silver with rocaille scrollwork.
