Carved Mahogany Armchair From The Consulate Period

Beautiful armchair in mahogany and mahogany veneer that can be used as an office chair.
The backrest with a wide upper band is carved with a diamond, palmettes and rosette.
It encloses with the low crosspiece three flat and sculpted balusters.
The solid wood arms end in a flattened scroll resting on the front legs imitating a sword scabbard decorated with carvings.
The belt crosspieces are plated.
The seat is covered with decorated animal hair.
Consulate period.
Very nice model to be compared to the work of Jacob, Marcion or Demay
Repaired sleeper rabbets
