Louis XVI Style Ewer In Crystal And Solid Silver
Beautiful ewer with a cut and engraved crystal body: grooves separate the reserves with engraved decorations of garden tools, a quiver, a torch or even musical instruments.
Regarding the solid silver frame, the spout is decorated with interlacing, foliage.
The central part is also set with openwork interlacing, but also with garlands. As for the handle, it has ribbed and foliage grooves.
Finally, the base is decorated with pilasters surrounded by foliage.
Silver hallmark: Minerve 1er titre Paris. Hallmark of master silversmith: OM with a mallet (Société Anonyme "Orfèvrerie Maillard" 1905-1910).
