"Bronze Sculpture By Capellaro"
Sculpture by the French artist Capellaro (Paris 1862 - 1956) student of Dumont, Thomas and Mathurin Moreau at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 1886 first prize of Rome, he stayed at the Villa Medici from 1887 to 1890. Member of the French Artists he obtained medals in 1889, 1892 and the silver medal in 1900 at the Universal Exhibition. Capellaro is a great traveler and travels several times the African continent as well as Indochina. Some of his works are exhibited at the Museum of Versailles, the Palace of the Legion of Honor and the Faculty of Pharmacy. Beautiful size and beautiful patina for this charming harvest scene.
