Label on the back indicating: "Former Convent of the Cordeliers - under the Revolution - club where Danton thundered". To clean. Parisian painter straddling two centuries, first painter of still lifes, he then evolved towards the Landscape, treated at the beginning in a quasi-symbolist vein then gradually becoming more stylized.
