Rare ethnographic portrait work by Michail Nikolaevich Dobronravov (1904 Belgorod, Russia - 1979 Lvov, Ukraine) studied in 1922-1929 at the Kharkov Art Institute under SM Prokhorov, AO Kokel´, MN Burachek and MS Fedorov . From 1931 he was active as an art teacher - first at "Rabfak" (preliminary stage of the university for workers), then - at the Kharkov Art Institute (1934- 1941) and in 1952-1967 at the Children Art College in Lvov. . In 1930-32 he was a member of AChCzU (Association of Artists of Red Ukraine). His works can be seen in the most important Ukrainian museums.
