Rare Album: Nikolaus I of Russia: A Letter of Obedience and Donation to the Tsar, Dated 1850.Rare album of obedience and donation, dedicated to the Russian Tsar Nicholas I, edition by Johann Gastl, Bruenn, 1850, written in German with numerous color lithographs, cover (front and back) - lithographs, printed in gold. The album was created based on original drawings by Joh.Gastl in addition to a silver-gilt gift to Tsar Nikolaus I made by the famous goldsmiths Mayerhofer and Klinkosch, in Vienna.
Original title in German: "Ehrfuchtsvolle Huldigung Seiner Majestät NICOLAUS I dem erhabenen, hochherzigen, mächtigen Kaiser und Selbstherrscher aller Reussen [...] in tiefster Unterwürfigkeit dargebracht von JOH. GASTL kk Großhändler”.
