Editor at La Quotidienne in 1828, founder of the Revue de Paris in 1829, Véron deals with the period from the end of the Empire to the July Revolution and the beginning of the Third Empire. The sixth volume does include its supplement Response to M. Thiers and Changarnier. Important testimony about famous people of the time and period covered by this journal. The work is divided into thematic chapters by event or by theme, for example "The days of February 1848", "Monsieur de Martignac" or "Restaurants and cafes in Paris".
