Large armchair from the Consulate period attributed to Jacob Desmalter. This seat with cuffs in solid mahogany, is enhanced with bronze lotus flowers. Its wide seat, this backrest with fluted uprights, the patterns of water leaves and the quality of the assembly, allow it to be brought closer to the productions of Jacob Desmalter. Note the beautiful original horsehair upholstery, unfortunately torn on the front of the seat. Note two old repairs on the uprights of the foot and left backrest.
