Pair Of Officer's Chairs Consulate Empire Period Silk
Pair of officer's armchairs in re-lacquered wood, with rounded, recessed armrest supports to allow seating with a saber or sword. The front legs terminate in lion's paw feet. Fully pegged. Consulate period, late 18th/early 19th century. These armchairs are in very good condition, solid and stable. They have been completely reupholstered using traditional methods and covered in a superb silk with a placed pattern. One of the armchairs has two traditional reinforcements.
