Armor Breastplate For Equestrian Parade
Italy, 16th century
Wrought iron and brass
Length: 43.5 cm; L: 15.5 cm
Plastron with flat diamond-shaped links in iron inlaid with brass. They are centred with flowers and linked together with oval links. The side and lower parts are decorated with leafy pendants and two clasps.
This breastplate protected the neck of horses.
