Created by Emperor Franz Joseph in 1890 for officers only, this medal is awarded for outstanding service in peacetime (red ribbon)
The medal bears the Emperor's bust on one side and the inscription SIGNUM LAUDIS on the other, flanked by a laurel and oak branch.
It is surmounted by a crown and a ring.
Original ribbon.
Very good condition.
