Dagger Called Dha
Burma - Myanmar, 19th century
Iron, silver, wood, cotton and marine ivory
Total length: 40 cm
Length of dagger: 39 cm; Length of blade: 25 cm
(restoration and old crack)
Dagger with a single-edged wrought iron blade ending in a bevelled point.
The spindle of cylindrical section is two-thirds in marine ivory, while the ferrule is in wood, covered with a silver yoke with filigree decoration.
The scabbard is made of wood covered with silver and decorated with filigree applied in friezes or rosettes. Braided pink cotton line.
