Pierre Louis Detrier left many beautiful sculptures, and yet, the history of art has not retained much of him except that he is a native of Vogécourt, in Haute-Saône. He took part in the Salons of French Artists from 1866 to 1896. Mother and her baby Paul Louis Detriever sculpted here a work full of delicacy on the theme of maternal love, endeavoring to restore the softness of maternal gestures, the tenderness that pass through the eyes of a mother…
