Chickens And Other Birds In A Farmyard, 18th Century Attributed To Marmaduke Cradock

Chickens and Other Birds in a Barnyard, 18th Century Attributed to Marmaduke CRADOCK (circa 1660-1717) Fine 18th century English school barnyard scene depicting various birds among tools and jars, oil on panel. Early and important English school farm scene with birds among implement and ships. Excellent detail and distinctly similar to the works of the leading subject painter Craddock. Original condition with no noticeable damage or major restorations. Good condition of the panel. Old black and gold frame. No visible signature common to works from this period. Cradock was a self-taught painter from Somerset who later moved to London but deliberately avoided the patronage of aristocrats. Dimensions: 22.5" x 20" framed
