Bas-relief of a Roman emperor in gilded bronze on a strawberry-coloured velvet background, surrounded by a chiseled gilt bronze oval and all set in a rectangular burl wood frame. The set is in perfect condition, the carving of the bas-relief and the oval that surrounds it is particularly fine. Rare piece. The bas-relief itself measures 11.8cm x 10.5cm, the oval 18cm in height and 15cm in width and the frame 21.5cm x 25.5cm
