Wreckage of a famous lamp that cannot be found, invention of M de Périgney, discovery of Henry d'Allemagne, an oil lamp whose two lights were pumped by pressure from false candles. See in the last photo...... (thanks to Philippe Deitz)
From the banks of the Rhône, Beaucaire....
The lamp is complete of its silvered bronze mount, the false tin candles, the bottom, the reflector are missing .
Rare item, mid 18th century.
Condition: quite correct, partly de-silvered, wear.
Dimensions: 18cm x 13cm x 15cm.
