Mid-19th Century Gold And Champlevé Enamel Snuffbox.
Rectangular snuffbox with rounded corners in gold and champlevé enamel. A symmetrical floral decoration in polychrome and translucent enamel on a pink background is arranged around a central flower. The stylised floral composition plays on the translucent enamel of certain flowers and the opaque enamel of others. This decoration is present on the lid and the base. A geometrical frieze of polychrome flowers frames this decoration. Some wear to the enamel.
