French School Of The End Of The XIXth Century - Summer
Splendid French school of the end of the XIXth / beginning of the XXth century, undoubtedly a decoration project, representing an idyllic summer landscape at dawn; made up of flamingos, antic buildings and lush gardens.
Gouache and watercolor on assembled papers.
The work is in fact made up of 3 glued parts: the title and the pond in the foreground, most of the composition, and finally in the upper part of the work the major part of the medallion.
The work is sold in a glazed gilded wood frame.
The whole is in excellent condition. Just note that the painting to the left of the statue shows the first signs of flaking.
