Sumptuous chalice from the Louis XIV period in silver and vermeil with the hallmarks of the city of Liège and the master silversmith François Stevart the younger for the year 1667 .
Completely in the tradition of the mid-seventeenth century, it is decorated with motifs vegetal and covered entirely with vermeil which is worn in places. The punches, clearly legible, are located inside the foot.
Goldsmith's pieces prior to 1700 are extremely rare on the market.
It weighs 530 grams.
