Toppai Jingasa Edo Period - 18-19th Century - Japan

Jingasa, Samurai headdress of conical shape in harikake (papier mâché technique) and wood covered with black lacquer depicting the kamon in red called “Takanoha” with two crossed feathers in the center of two intertwined squares. In good condition for the age, the exterior has a dent on the back of the helmet, without breakage. Part of the zabuton, a protective cushion for the head is present.
