In gilded and patinated bronze representing the Italian poet Torquato Tasso (1544-1595).
Typical elements are placed next to him such as the harp, the inkwell with quill and his famous manuscript “La Gerusalemme Liberata”.
Tasso's epic poem on the Crusades was one of the greatest literary works of the Renaissance. First published in 1581, it has inspired artists and composers for centuries.
