The Triumph Of Juno, Oil On Mythological Canvas From XVIII Eme Century

Beautiful oil on canvas dating from the 1st half of the 18th century and representing the triumph of Juno on his chariot crossing the skies of Olympus.
this animated table of very many characters is very colorful and nicely composed.
Juno appears in his chariot pulled by peacocks, dressed in a red dress.
she seems triumphant and escorted by a cohort of angels and angel musicians, but also by the rainbow and various other deities of the Greek pantheon.
she seems triumphant and takes revenge on Zeus located on the lower floor and who seems to have to endure the triumph of his wife.
the whole stands out against a maritime background. the colors are superb much more beautiful in reality and this painting is really of high quality.
few restorations just a cleaning of oxidized varnish. the frame is in wood and gilded stucco, from a later period of course, Napoleon III with the installation of a Marie Louise with Greek decoration in gilded wood which suits very well to the whole.
a very beautiful mythological painting taking up the spirit of the painting by Livio Mehus 1630-1691 located in the Pitti Palace in Florence.
dimensions 34.5 cm and 43 cm high for the table and 64 cm by 77 cm high for the frame.
