Large Pair Of Pots Or Koro Covered With Statuettes Attr. Miyao Workshop Bronze Meiji Period

Beautiful set of koro or burners in patinated bronze Meiji period (1868-1912) composed of two pieces covered with bronze and gilded characters, one is a trainer or monkey trainer and the one on the right must be a japanese deity.
the cylindrical bodies of these pots are decorated with flying animals such as geese, cranes and ducks.
these statuettes are originally fixed on these pots, the screws are original and are also lacquered.
These pots are dismantled in three parts; the tripod base, the central body and the lid.
the quality of the statuettes, their gilding, patina and chiselling undoubtedly brings to mind the Miyao workshop which was one of the best manufacturers of okimono of this style in Japan and in exporting very many pieces of exceptional quality to Europe and America from the opening of Japan to the world.
This set comes from an estate and is sold in the state as purchased, it will be cleaned, a small part of the left handle will be re-welded and repatinated in a professional bronzier and the restoration will be perfect, invisible and included in the price.
