A Patinated Bronze Vase With Two Confronting Dragons In Relief
A magnificent Japanese bronze vase with a dark brown patina displaying green and reddish tones, characterised by a long neck, a deeply lobed body and a flared foot, the body decorated with two confronting dragons.
The sinuous dragons are modelled in relief, with particular attention to the rendering of the scales, claws and anatomical details, which stand out against the smoother surface of the bronze.
