Pair Of Alabaster Vases

An elegant pair of ornamental vases in finely carved alabaster, made between the late 18th century and the early 19th century in central Italy. The slender, harmonious forms are distinguished by their rich decoration featuring leaf motifs and by the openwork handles with their refined, sinuous lines, reflecting high-quality craftsmanship.

The pod-shaped body rests on molded alabaster bases with dark marble plinths, creating a refined chromatic contrast that enhances the stone’s natural luminosity and transparency. The upper rim, adorned with an elaborate motif of hanging leaves, lends the piece a dramatic, late-Neoclassical flair.

These objects, with their great decorative charm, are ideal for enhancing classic and elegant interiors, and bear witness to the taste and mastery of Italian workshops between the 18th and 19th centuries.
