A splendid pair of polychrome porcelain vases, entirely embellished with rich gold decoration, made in France in the early decades of the 19th century, in keeping with the refined and cosmopolitan style of French Neoclassical production.
The vases, with their monumental amphora-like shape, feature large oval panels on the body, masterfully painted with scenes set in Turkey, brought to life by elegant figures in oriental attire and set against evocative landscapes.
