An elegant oval plate in glazed porcelain, of Viennese origin and dating to the early decades of the 19th century, finely decorated in polychrome and gold.
The central band features a refined romantic scene in the neoclassical style, depicting a female figure accompanied by a winged cherub, painted with particular attention to detail in the clothing, complexion, and surrounding vegetation. The scene is enclosed by a rich gilded frame.
The wide border features a complex ornamental repertoire, characterized by fields of purple and light blue, interspersed with panels decorated with architectural and landscape motifs in gold, elegant plant motifs, and gilded scrollwork, as well as small geometric compartments enriched with refined ornamental elements.
