This piece, of extraordinary craftsmanship, is veneered in precious rosewood and amaranth, featuring elegant reserve motifs and herringbone grain patterns. The richly detailed, mercury-gilded bronze applications, finely chiseled, adorn the side panels, handles, and molded profiles, lending the piece an elegance characteristic of great 18th-century Parisian cabinetmaking.
The original top, crafted from warm-toned breccia marble, completes the sumptuous harmony of the piece.
