A fine oil painting on canvas depicting an evocative sacred composition featuring the Virgin and Child, flanked by figures of saints from the Carmelite Order, attributable to the Neapolitan devotional tradition.
The Virgin, draped in a wide blue mantle and a red robe, occupies the center of the composition and holds the Infant Jesus, depicted nude and in a lively pose. On either side are two monastic figures kneeling in adoration, while in the upper part, bathed in a soft glow, small angels and cherub heads are visible.
Of particular interest are the symbolic elements arranged in the lower register: the book with white lilies and the sword, attributes that help identify the devotional dimension and the meaning of the composition.
