Louis XV-style Refinished Wooden Armchair - Striped Velvet Fabric

An elegant and charming Louis XV-style armchair in lacquered and rechampi wood, in excellent condition.

This parlor chair is distinguished by its enveloping gondola-style backrest, finished with delicate carved volutes. The frame rests on a curved base typical of the Louis XV style, adorned with subtle whip-shaped carvings at the top of the legs. The refinished patina, combining soft and luminous tones, subtly highlights the wood’s moldings and curves.

The traditional, perfectly firm upholstery has been completely reupholstered. It is covered in a superb velvet fabric with satin stripes alternating between shades of cream, gold, and bronze. The finish is meticulous, featuring a row of gold upholstery tacks set with millimeter precision, accentuating the piece’s exquisite character.

A highly comfortable piece, ideal for a boudoir, a bedroom, or as a focal point in a classic living room.
