Porcelain Mocha/espresso Set By Jlmenau Graf Von Henneberg, In Its Original Case
An elegant tableware set consisting of six mocha (or espresso) cups and their six matching saucers, crafted by the renowned German manufacturer JLMENAU - Graf von Henneberg (Thuringia).
This Rocaille-style set stands out for its high-quality craftsmanship:
- Shapes and decorations: Fine white porcelain with undulating, scalloped edges. The “wave”-style relief is enhanced by rich friezes of inlaid gilding in brilliant gold, adorned with stylized volutes and scrollwork.
- Interior of the cups: Entirely covered with superb fine-gold gilding, offering a luminous and refined contrast to the whiteness of the porcelain.
- Markings: Each piece bears the green, crowned stamp of the Jlmenau manufactory on its base, accompanied by decoration numbers hand-painted by the workshop.
Presentation case:
The set is presented in its luxurious original case. The exterior features a green covering with a reptile-skin pattern (shark skin/crocodile)—signs of wear, see photo—while the interior is fully lined with glossy white satin, perfectly conforming to the shape of each piece.
In excellent condition. The porcelain shows no cracks, chips, or chips. The interior and exterior gilding is remarkably fresh and shows no significant wear. The case is also very well preserved, with a clasp and hinges that function perfectly.
