Pair Of Important 19th-century Armchairs With High, Flat, Regency-style Backrests—louis XV

An important pair of Regency-style armchairs from the late 19th century.
Both chairs rest on four curved legs topped with volutes and adorned at the top with delicate acanthus leaf carvings.
The crossbars of the waistband are arched and feature subtle molding.
The armrests are straight and each is fitted with a sleeve; they end in a scroll.
The armrest supports are console-shaped, adorned at their base with acanthus decoration.
The backrests are wide, flat, and curved at the top.
The seat of each chair is firm and very comfortable; it also has exceptional depth.
The upholstery fabric shows numerous signs of wear; in fact, the threads have been pulled (cat!!!). However, it is neither punctured nor torn and can be preserved for a very long time (see last photo). It features a studded finish.
