19th-century Blown-glass Conscript's Bugle

Hand-blown glass bugle with polychrome bands, 19th century

Conscript’s bugle made of translucent glass, decorated with integrated yellow and wine-red bands. The tubular bell rises in a rectangular spiral, forming the handle.

The complexity of its shape and the integration of the spiral bands attest to the glassblower’s technical mastery.
