Superb Louis XVI-Period Mahogany and Mahogany-Veneer Officer’s Chest of Drawers, Resting on front legs and rear legs with sheathed bases, ending in gilded bronze feet.

This chest of drawers features a white marble top with gray veining, framed by a gilded, openwork brass gallery with recessed sections; it opens with three drawers at the front. Its straight front posts are embellished with vertical gilded brass inlays. Its rear posts are also adorned with vertical gilded brass inlays. Beautiful and rich gilded bronze and brass ornamentation, including feet, pull handles, rings, lock plates, drawer and panel frames, and the gallery. Beautiful mahogany wood with a lovely patina.
