This charming small side table, crafted from molded cherry wood in the Directoire period, rests on toupie bases terminating in gilt bronze rings and casters. Rectangular in shape, it features a small drawer in the front and a molded wooden top. Its uprights are tapered columns. The base is joined by a wooden stretcher and square-section connecting blocks. The drawer is adorned with a gilt bronze pull handle decorated with a stylized hand holding a rod. The wood is of fine quality and has a lovely patina.
